IObit Malware Fighter 5.4

IObit Malware Fighter protects your computer against different types of threats. The program has a nice straightforward interface. From the Home tab, you click the Fix All button, which aims to find and amend multiple types of problems. Moreover, the program lets you run other on-demand checkups, including Smart, Full, and Custom scans. A smart scan is supposed to be the quickest, as it only checks critical areas. Similarly, a custom scan lets you select a specific item, such as a folder or a file.

IObit Malware Fighter does not rank among the best AV tools available. It is said to raise multiple false positives and miss some types of infections. In this regard, IObit antivirus engine is generally classified as average. It is also a pity that its services can simply be stopped, which makes it an easy target of malware attack. Fortunately, though, it does not provoke any kind of conflicts when it is used with other AV software, so it can perfectly be used as a complement to find any missed threats.

This product is said to be freeware. However, when you click some of the buttons in its interface, it says that the related features are available on the Pro version only. In my opinion, this is a textbook example of shareware. In addition to basic anti-malware defense available on the free version, Malware Fighter Pro has the advantage of implementing the excellent Bitdefender engine. In addition, it includes ransomware protection and prevents unauthorized access to your webcam. Not only that, it can also block suspicious websites, intercept unwanted advertisement and safeguard your privacy.
